Here Now Films Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. This policy explains what they are, which ones we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. For personal data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

1) What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They can be “session” (deleted when you close the browser) or “persistent” (kept until they expire or you delete them). We also use similar technologies like local/session storage and pixels; we call these “cookies” in this policy.
2) How we use cookies (and your choices)
We categorise cookies via our consent tool CookieYes:
- Strictly necessary: required to make the site work securely (PECR permits these without consent).
- Functional: improve features (e.g., form UX, embedded media).
- Analytics: measure usage (not loaded unless you consent).
- Advertising: serve/measure ads (not used unless you consent).
On your first visit, our CookieYes banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage by category. You can change your mind anytime via the “Cookie settings” link in our footer—this re-opens the banner and updates your preferences. CookieYes also keeps a consent log.
3) Cookies we use
Plugins and embeds can change their cookies with updates. We review this table periodically and whenever we add tools.

Note: We configure embeds as “click-to-play” or block them until you opt into Functional cookies in CookieYes. That means third-party media cookies (e.g., Vimeo) won’t load until you choose to use them.
C) Analytics (consent)
We do not currently run analytics cookies. If we enable them (e.g., Google Analytics 4), they will be listed here and will remain off by default until you opt in.
D) Advertising/Targeting (consent)
We do not currently use advertising cookies. If we add any (e.g., Meta Pixel, Google Ads), they will be listed here and remain off by default unless you opt in.
4) Legal basis
- Strictly necessary cookies: our legitimate interests in delivering a secure, functional website (PECR allows these without consent).
- Functional/Analytics/Advertising cookies: consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). We do not set these until you opt in via CookieYes.
5) Third-party cookies & embeds
Some pages include third-party content (e.g., Vimeo video). Where possible, we use “click-to-play” or block these until you consent to the Functional category. Third-party providers may process data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards—see their privacy/cookie policies for details.
6) Managing and deleting cookies
- Change preferences: Use the “Cookie settings” link in our footer to update choices at any time.
- Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect basic site functions.
7) Retention
Cookie lifetimes are listed above. Persistent cookies are kept until their expiry or until you delete them. Session cookies are removed when you close your browser.
8) Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our cookies, providers, or legal requirements. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date and, where necessary, re-prompt for consent.

Implementation tips (for your devs, not shown to users)
- In CookieYes, ensure prior blocking is enabled for non-essential scripts (Vimeo/WPForms features that set
wpfuuid). - Use click-to-play for Vimeo or map Vimeo to the Functional category so it doesn’t load until consent.
- If you later add GA4, deploy via GTM with Consent Mode v2 and keep Analytics opt-in in the UK.
