Films Produced

We film the people who build things and make things happen.

Here Now Films is a video production company headquartered London, specialising in branded micro documentaries, human-led customer stories and brand films for technology and AI companies across the UK and internationally, with teams in Manchester, Bristol and Cornwall.

A centenary documentary for JA Brooks, one of London’s longest-standing mechanical services firms, filmed at their pod construction facility and on live sites in the heart of the city. A field documentary for the Woodland Trust’s first drone seeding trials. An interview with Ameca, the humanoid robot built by Engineered Arts, for the Bank for International Settlements. A recruitment film for Rise Technical Recruitment.

Real people, real places, stories filmed as they happen. On a factory floor that means interviews taken mid-job, machinery working and occasionally failing on camera, and the patience to let a welder tell you what forty years on the tools actually feels like.

JA Brooks · Centenary documentary · London

One hundred years of JA Brooks

JA Brooks have been welding, fabricating and fitting mechanical services across London since 1925, from the Blitz to the projects powering the city today. For their centenary they wanted the truth, with the people ahead of the projects: the welders, fabricators, designers and families behind four generations of the business.

We built a three-act film on spirit, history and family, shot at their pod construction facility and on live sites, interviews taken mid-job, archive photographs cut against the present day. It was shown to the whole company at the hundred-year celebration. Engineers teared up at the premiere. It now works in internal culture, at anniversary events, and in recruitment.

Sky Seeding: filming a drone trial

The Woodland Trust’s first drone seeding trials dropped more than 75,000 native tree seeds onto hard-to-reach land across a week in Cornwall and Devon. We were brought in to film the process as it actually ran: weather windows, changing dates, remote upland sites, and the moment half the seeds jammed the drone’s hopper because they were ten times larger than the tech was designed for.

That is what filming working machinery looks like. The film launched in April 2025 and now tours with the Trust’s Rainforest Recovery exhibitions across the UK.

WHAT ARE WE

Heavy industry is hard to connect with. People on the tools aren’t.

It’s the reason industrial and construction companies keep finding us. We’re a branded micro documentary company, and every format we work in, customer stories, brand films, micro documentaries, is built around people: what they’re up against, what they’re building, and what happens when it works.

So when the subject is a factory or a live site, we don’t change the method. We find the person. A welder forty years into the job. A family that has worked the same floor for four generations. A field team watching seeds jam a drone and fixing it in the rain. The projects matter because of the people who built them. That’s the film.

FORMATS

What we produce for industrial and construction companies

Every format below is grounded in a film we’ve actually delivered. Not a menu, a track record. Six forms the work takes; most are variations on the branded micro documentary.

Heritage and centenary documentaries

Archive-led films for company milestones. One hundred years of JA Brooks in one film, ready for the anniversary event itself. The wider discipline lives at our documentary studio.

Site and factory films

Filmed where the work happens: the JA Brooks film was shot at their pod construction facility and on live sites in central London, planned around inductions, permits and the working day.

Field and machinery documentaries

Kit working, and sometimes failing, on camera. Sky Seeding followed a drone trial through weather windows, remote uplands and a jammed hopper.

Recruitment films

The JA Brooks film now works in recruitment drives, and we made Rise Technical Recruitment’s film about engineering careers. People join people, so that’s what we film.

Engineering interviews and profiles

From fast, on-the-job interviews on a factory floor to a controlled studio portrait of a humanoid robot for central bankers. The subject changes; the care doesn’t.

Internal and culture films

The JA Brooks film screens across internal comms and anniversary events, doing the culture work a handbook can’t. Built like our corporate productions, watched like a documentary.

WHERE WE WORK

Industrial & Manufacturing films, UK wide

This work happens where the work happens. Live sites in the heart of London for JA Brooks. Upland moor across Cornwall and Devon for the Woodland Trust. The Engineered Arts facility in Cornwall for the Ameca interview. We’re headquartered in London with teams in Manchester, Bristol and Cornwall, so multi-day, multi-site shoots around live operations are ordinary for us rather than an exception.

If your brief is London-specific — London sites, London stakeholders, a head office near ours — the city page goes deeper: industrial and construction video production in London.

FAQ

Industrial and manufacturing video production FAQs

How much does industrial and construction video production cost in the UK?

From £9,000 for a site or recruitment film, from £20,000 for a heritage documentary, and from £80,000 a year for an annual programme. What moves the number: shoot days, number of sites, access and induction requirements, archive licensing and post-production complexity. We’ll walk you through it on a call.

What is a branded micro documentary?

A short documentary made for a brand: real people, unscripted interviews, filmed where the work happens, cut to a length people actually watch. It is Here Now Films’ home format, and the heritage and site films on this page are built with the same method.

Can you film on live construction sites and factory floors?

Yes. The JA Brooks centenary film was shot at their pod construction facility and on live sites in central London, with interviews taken mid-job so the energy of the team survives into the film. We plan around inductions, permits, PPE requirements and the working day, and we’ve filmed working machinery from welding bays to agricultural drones.

Do you make centenary and anniversary films?

Yes, and it’s some of the work we’re proudest of. The JA Brooks film told a hundred years, from the Blitz to today, across four generations of one family-led firm, and was ready in time to be shown to the whole company at their hundred-year celebration. An anniversary is a one-shot deadline; we build the schedule backwards from the event.

Can you film machinery, drones and fieldwork?

Yes. Sky Seeding, our documentary for the Woodland Trust, followed their first drone seeding trials as more than 75,000 native tree seeds went onto remote upland ground across Cornwall and Devon. We filmed around weather windows, moving dates and a hopper jam, because machinery working honestly is more interesting than machinery working perfectly.

Do you make recruitment films for industrial and engineering companies?

Yes. We made Rise Technical Recruitment’s film about engineering careers, and the JA Brooks centenary film now runs in their recruitment drives. In a sector competing hard for skilled people, a film of real staff doing real work outperforms any stock-footage promise.

Do you produce industrial and construction films outside London?

Yes — this is our national page for exactly that reason. Recent work runs from central London sites to upland moor in Cornwall and Devon, and we have teams in Manchester, Bristol and Cornwall alongside the London HQ. For London-specific briefs, our industrial and construction video production in London page goes deeper.
