Most healthcare videos are clinical. The people in it aren’t. Having produced over 15 bespoke films, and over 50 assets for Kyn across three years, we know how to place the human at the heart of healthcare.

Here Now Films is a UK video production company, headquartered in London, that makes story-led films for healthcare and care organisations — including more than forty films across a three-year partnership with KYN’s luxury care homes in Fulham and Hurlingham, conference work for the pharmaceutical company Pharmaxo, and a founder film for the medical device startup Calla Lily.

Healthcare organisations commission video for serious reasons: recruitment that actually works, patient and resident stories that build trust, brand films that show families what a place really feels like. Most production companies treat that as a compliance exercise — clean rooms, stock music, a voiceover describing what you can already see. We treat it as documentary: real people, real environments, and never scripted emotion.

KYN: 40+ films across a three-year partnership

KYN’s brief was brand positioning: make the homes feel like what they are — considered, warm, staffed by people who chose to be there. Not a clinical environment with a lifestyle rebrand.

That first film became a three-year relationship: resident profiles, the “Meet The Makers” staff series, hero brand films, recruitment content and social. Every film follows the same principle — put the person at the centre, shoot with enough craft that the environment speaks for itself, and never script emotion.

It’s our deepest single-client relationship, and the proof of what happens when a production company stays long enough to understand the culture. The films got better as we got closer to the residents and staff — not because the spec changed.

Calla Lily · Founder film · Femtech, London

Calla Lily: A female founded med care company

A pre-revenue medical device startup with a clinical trial underway needed a single production that could introduce the founders, the mission and the product to investors, partners and patients at once, scientifically accurate enough for an ethics submission, compelling enough to open a pitch deck.

One shoot day in their London labs, custom animation for the product sequences, full sound design in-house. The finished film now leads their website, pitch decks and fundraising conversations.

Pharmaxo: the annual nurse conference

Multi-camera conference capture for a pharmaceutical audience — editorially sharp, delivered on-deadline for post-event distribution. Professional in the way pharma requires, watchable in the way pharma rarely is.

Here Now Films consistently delivered the highest click-through rates and drove higher engagement across social channels. The team managed the project well, delivering it on time and communicating clearly. They were respectful, patient, and considerate with the client’s residents and staff.”

BEFORE YOU BRIEF

How to commission healthcare video well

Forty-plus films for one care provider is a long apprenticeship in what makes healthcare video work. Three decisions that matter more than the kit list.

In care and clinical settings, consent isn’t a form on the shoot day — it’s a process run through your existing framework, coordinated with families and care teams, documented and reversible. Commission a production partner who treats it that way, because the alternative isn’t just an ethics risk; it shows on screen. People filmed with genuine consent look different.

Let real people carry it — unscripted

The KYN films work because residents and staff speak for themselves. Scripted emotion in healthcare content reads as exactly what it is, and families choosing a care home — or clinicians choosing an employer — are the most script-sensitive audiences there are. The commissioning courage required: accept that the honest version is the persuasive one.

Think in series, not one-offs

Healthcare organisations have continuous story needs — recruitment, resident life, family communication, clinical credibility. A series framework (like “Meet The Makers”) makes every film cheaper and better than the last, because the consent process, the visual language and the trust are already built. One-off films rebuild all three every time.

FORMATS

What we produce for healthcare organisations

Every format below is something we’ve delivered for a regulated financial services client.

Not a menu, a track record.

Brand films for healthcare & pharmaceuticals

Positioning films that show families what a home actually feels like. The KYN hero films are the benchmark. See brand video production.

Recruitment & culture films

Healthcare has a recruitment crisis; the organisations that win show what it’s like to work there. “Meet The Makers” turned staff stories into a recruitment asset.

Patient & resident stories

Documentary profiles that treat the person as the story, not the condition. Consent, dignity, and the difference between empathy and sentimentality — 40+ times over.

Conference & event films

Multi-camera capture, speaker profiles, highlight reels — the Pharmaxo model, delivered on-deadline.

Medical device & clinical demonstration

Product and procedure video balancing clinical accuracy with watchability. Calla Lily satisfied investors, patients and an ethics board from one shoot day.

Internal comms & training

Onboarding and policy content staff actually watch — corporate video production at a quality that says the organisation takes its people seriously.

WHERE WE WORK

Healthcare films,
UK-Wide

Care and clinical stories are made where the care happens: KYN’s homes in Fulham and Hurlingham, Calla Lily’s London labs, Pharmaxo’s conference floor. We’re headquartered in London with crews in ManchesterBristol and Cornwall, so a provider with sites across the country gets one production partner and one consistent visual language — not four regional suppliers.

If your organisation and its stakeholders are in the capital, the city page goes deeper: healthcare video production in London.

FAQ

Questions healthcare & medical commissioners ask us

Through your existing consent framework, before any camera appears on site. In care settings where residents may have reduced capacity, we coordinate with families and care teams so consent is informed, documented and reversible. Over 40+ films for KYN this has become a repeatable process, not something we figure out on the day.

How much does healthcare video production cost in the UK?

From £9,000 for a single film, from £25,000 for a brand film or series launch, and from £80,000 per year for an annual content partnership like our three-year KYN relationship. What moves the number: shoot days, interview subjects, post-production complexity and how many compliance review cycles your organisation requires.

Do you work with NHS trusts as well as private healthcare?

We work across private care providers, pharmaceutical brands, medical device companies and healthcare startups. We haven’t yet completed NHS trust work, and we won’t claim otherwise — but the production sensibilities, consent process and compliance experience are directly transferable. If you’re a trust considering production, we’ll have an honest conversation about fit.

What’s the typical turnaround for a healthcare film?

Four to eight weeks from kickoff to delivery for a single film, including consent, location visits, one to two shoot days and an edit with built-in review windows. Compliance-heavy content typically adds one to two weeks. Ongoing partnerships move faster because the framework’s already in place.

Can you film across multiple sites or regions?

Yes — with one production partner rather than a patchwork. Crews in London, Manchester, Bristol and Cornwall mean a care group or healthcare brand with sites around the country keeps one visual language, one consent process and one point of accountability across every location.

What happens in a free creative workshop?

You bring the audience and the problem — recruitment, occupancy, credibility — and we return a treatment, a budget and a schedule, with the consent and compliance steps already mapped. No charge; it’s how the KYN partnership began.
