Most healthcare video is clinical. The people in it aren’t. We tell human centred stories that put people at the heart of your brand.
Healthcare organisations commission video for serious reasons; recruitment that actually works, patient stories that drive funding, brand films that position a care provider as the one families trust. The problem is that most production companies approach healthcare like a compliance exercise. Clean rooms. Stock music. A voiceover explaining what the viewer can already see.
We do it differently. Our approach is documentary-first: real people, real environments, stories that earn the viewer’s attention because they’re worth watching, not because a script told them to care.
Our anchor relationship in healthcare is KYN , London’s luxury care homes in Fulham and Hurlingham. Over three years and 40+ films, we’ve built a body of work that includes resident profiles, “Meet The Makers” staff series, hero brand films, and recruitment content. That work exists because we invested the time to understand what mattered: making residents feel like themselves on camera, not like subjects.
The same sensibility applies whether we’re filming a pharmaceutical conference for Pharmaxo, producing a medical device demonstration, or creating patient-journey content for an NHS trust. The register changes. The respect doesn’t.
Luxury care – London
KYN London: 40+ films across a three-year partnership
KYN operates luxury care homes in Fulham and Hurlingham. When they approached us, the brief was brand positioning, make the homes feel like what they are: considered, warm, staffed by people who chose to be there. Not a clinical environment with a lifestyle rebrand.
That first film became a three-year relationship. The scope expanded to include resident profiles, a “Meet The Makers” series profiling individual staff members, recruitment films, and social content. Every film follows the same principle: put the person at the centre, shoot with enough craft that the environment speaks for itself, and never script emotion.
The KYN body of work is our deepest single-client healthcare relationship. It’s also the proof point for what happens when a production company stays long enough to understand the culture, the films got better as we got closer to the residents and staff, not because the production spec changed.

Calla Lily: Founder film for a women’s health startup
Calla Lily came to us as a pre-revenue startup with a genuine problem: an innovative medical device, a clinical trial underway, and no film that explained who they were or why it mattered. They needed one production that could introduce the founders, the mission, and the product to investors, partners, and patients simultaneously.
The film had to satisfy three distinct audiences with three different thresholds for detail: scientifically accurate enough for a clinical trial ethics submission, compelling enough to open an investor pitch deck, and accessible enough for patients encountering the product for the first time. One shoot day in their London labs and office on Finchley Road. Meg producing. Nico on camera. Custom animation for the product sequences, voiceover direction, full sound design, all handled in-house.
The finished film now sits as the lead piece of comms on Calla Lily’s website, in investor pitch decks, and across every fundraising conversation.
“This was our first project wqith Here, now Film but we have then proceed to work with them on a further 6 campaign concepts and shoots… and always have them in my mind for the next project that comes along.”

What we produce for healthcare organisations.
Every format below we can deliver for care providers, pharma brands, or medical device companies.
Brand films for care providers
Positioning films that show families what a care home or clinic actually feels like, not stock footage, not staged. The KYN hero films are the benchmark: real residents, real staff, real environments shot with a cinematic eye.
Recruitment & culture films
Healthcare has a recruitment crisis. The organisations that win are the ones that show, not describe, what it’s like to work there. Our “Meet The Makers” series for KYN turned staff stories into a recruitment asset that outperformed job boards.
Patient & resident stories
Documentary-led profiles that treat the person as the story, not the condition. Requires a production team that understands consent, dignity, and the difference between empathy and sentimentality. We’ve shot 40+ of these for KYN alone.
Pharmaceutical & medical conferences
Multi-camera conference capture, speaker profiles, highlight reels. Our Pharmaxo Annual Nurse Conference work is the reference point, professional, editorially sharp, delivered on-deadline for post-event distribution.
Medical device & clinical demonstration
Product and procedure video that balances clinical accuracy with watchability. Our Calla Lily founder film, covering a vaginal drug delivery device in active clinical trials, had to satisfy investors, patients, and an ethics review board from a single production day. Close-up demonstration, custom animation, and a production process built around clinical sign-off.
Internal comms & training
Training content that staff actually watch. Onboarding films. Policy communication. Change management. Produced at the quality level that signals “this organisation takes its people seriously”, because it does.
Healthcare video production pricing
Healthcare video production in London starts from £9,000 for a single film. Multi-film partnerships like our KYN relationship are structured differently. When we’re producing 10+ films across a year, the per-film cost comes down because of shared pre-production, established crew relationships, and an editorial framework that’s already in place.
Single healthcare film
From £9K
One patient story, resident profile, or recruitment film. Includes pre-production, one shoot day, edit, and two rounds of review.
Brand film or series launch
From £25K
A positioning film for a care provider or pharmaceutical brand. Multiple shoot days, full post-production, compliance review cycles included.
Annual content partnership
From £80K/yr
Ongoing production relationship, 10+ films per year, shared editorial framework, predictable scheduling and cost. The KYN model.
Healthcare video production, frequently asked questions
We work through your existing consent framework before any camera appears on site. For care settings where residents may have reduced capacity, we coordinate with families and care teams to ensure consent is informed, documented, and reversible. For clinical environments, we agree upfront what can and can’t be shown. Over 40+ films for KYN, we’ve built this into a repeatable process, not something we figure out on the day.
Everyone we send to a healthcare shoot has done it before. That’s a non-negotiable. Healthcare environments require crews who understand that a care home is someone’s home, a hospital ward has rhythms that can’t be interrupted, and a pharmaceutical conference has content that matters to the people in the room. We typically work with a director, a DP, and a sound operator, small enough to move through environments without disrupting them, senior enough to capture the story without needing direction from the client.
Yes. We build review windows into the production schedule rather than bolting them on. For pharmaceutical content, that typically means two review passes at rough cut, one at fine cut, and final sign-off at delivery. If your compliance team needs to review scripts before production, we accommodate that too. The additional review cycles are factored into the timeline from the start, they don’t create surprises.
A single healthcare film, patient story, recruitment video, or care provider profile, starts from £9,000. Brand films and series launches start from £25,000. Annual content partnerships, like our three-year KYN relationship producing 40+ films, start from £80,000 per year. What moves the number is scope (number of shoot days, locations, interview subjects), crew size, post-production complexity, and how many compliance review cycles your organisation requires.
We work across private care providers, pharmaceutical brands, medical device companies, and healthcare startups. Our Calla Lily founder film, for a femtech company with an active clinical trial, went through the same rigour as any regulated production. We haven’t yet completed NHS trust work, and we won’t claim otherwise. What we can tell you is that the production sensibilities, consent process, clinical environment experience, compliance review, are directly transferable. If you’re an NHS trust considering production, get in touch and we’ll have an honest conversation about fit.
124 City Road, EC1V 2NX, between Old Street and Angel. Ten minutes from the City, fifteen from Canary Wharf. We shoot across London and internationally.
Four to eight weeks from kickoff to delivery for a single film. That includes pre-production (consent, location visits, brief refinement), one to two shoot days, and an edit process with built-in review windows. Compliance-heavy content, anything requiring clinical or regulatory sign-off, typically adds one to two weeks because of the additional review passes. For ongoing partnerships, turnaround is faster because the editorial framework and environment familiarity are already established.
Because healthcare production has failure modes that generalist companies discover the hard way. A crew that doesn’t understand consent in a care setting can cause real distress. A director who hasn’t worked with vulnerable adults will default to directing them like corporate interview subjects, and the result will feel patronising. An editor without healthcare sensibility will reach for emotional manipulation where restraint is needed. We’ve made 40+ healthcare films. The learning curve is behind us.
