Video Editing
Sometimes it’s editing to exact time stamps and a detailed media plan. Sometimes it’s about digging into tens of hours of unscripted rushes and a vague brief to turn it into a world-class documentary. Either way, we’ve got you!
From brand campaigns with tight broadcast deadlines to slow-burning docs and films that don’t quite fit a category, we pride ourselves on having editors with great instincts, a creative eye and a deep understanding of story. Whether it’s 90 seconds or 90 minutes, we find the story that holds.
Briefs can be built from scratch or picked up midstream. We can flex around your process!

End-To-End Workflow Delivery
We’re set up to deliver the full pipeline. If you’re working within a traditional post workflow, we can handle the offline edit, take the project through online, and prep full picture deliverables. Need synced rushes by morning? We’ve got dailies sorted too.
We’re fast, flexible, and fluent in spec sheets — whether it’s slates, timecodes, EDLs, ProRes masters or TikTok versions. Plug us in at any stage, or let us run it end-to-end.
Offline editing is where the story is shaped, the pacing is built, and structure comes together, whether that’s for branded content, shortform commercials, or longform documentaries. We cut from rushes or assembly, working with proxies for speed, syncing audio, shaping selects and versioning for feedback.
What we actually do:
- Editing from rushes or assembly
- Proxy workflows for fast, responsive edits
- Narrative assembly and rough cuts
- Multi-version output for internal or agency review
Online editing is where your project gets polished and prepped for delivery. Once the offline cut is locked, we take care of everything from conforming and relinking media, to prepping platform-specific versions, adding slates, legal lines, and supers, and exporting for broadcast, cinema or social. Whether it’s Clearcast-ready or TikTok-ready, this is where it all comes together.
What we actually do:
- QC passes, naming conventions, metadata, and delivery
- Conform timelines and relink to original high-res media
- Versioning for every output — 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5
- Broadcast prep: slates, timecodes, clock numbers
- Adding legal lines, supers, endframes and motion polish
- Final exports: ProRes, H264, Clearcast-compliant, social-optimised
We provide full picture deliverables for broadcast, cinema, social, and digital, handling everything from master exports and cutdowns to compliance, naming conventions, and platform specs. Whether you need a Clearcast-approved ad or ten social versions ready to upload, we make sure your film lands exactly where it needs to, exactly how it should.
What we actually do:
- Master exports in all required formats (ProRes, H.264, 4K, 1080p, etc.)
- Platform-specific versioning: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5
- Broadcast delivery prep: slates, clock numbers, bars & tone
- Endframes, supers, subtitles and legal line integration
- File naming, metadata, export logs and QC
- Clearcast-compliant delivery and ad spec support
Dailies are your first look at what’s been captured, synced, organised, and ready to review while the shoot’s still fresh. Whether you’re streaming rushes from set or handing off cards at the end of the day, we turn them into something that’s clean, colour-corrected and client-ready by morning.
Perfect for directors, producers, or agencies who need fast visibility, confident decision-making, or peace of mind mid-shoot.
What we actually do:
- Sync audio and apply on-set or custom LUTs
- Transcode and organise proxies for quick review
- Upload to Frame.io, Vimeo or your preferred platform
- Apply markers, notes, and timecodes
- Support multi-cam, dual-system audio, and complex shoot setups
Grade & Sound
We deliver full picture and audio finishing, from subtle grade tweaks to broadcast-ready mixes.
Whether you’re handing over a locked cut or working with us end-to-end, we offer colour grading and sound post that bring depth, tone, and polish to your film. Our team handles everything from conform and grade to VO recording, sound design, and multi-platform delivery, ready for cinema, social, or Clearcast.
We work flexibly, in-house, remotely, or with your preferred colourist or mixer, and can either lead the process or slot into your pipeline.

Colour & Sound Services
We handle the final stages of post from colour grading and audio mix to voiceover, ADR, and multi-version delivery. Whether you’re finishing a shortform spot or a feature-length doc, we can manage grade and sound in-house or collaborate with your preferred creatives.
We’re set up for broadcast, cinema, and digital — working to spec with ProRes exports, split stems, M&E tracks, EBU R128 compliance, and all the delivery details you don’t want to think about.
We work with a trusted network of freelance colourists, each with their own visual style, strengths, and background, from commercial punch to naturalistic longform. We match the right artist to the right project and manage the workflow from grade brief to delivery.
You can brief in a look, share references, or collaborate closely with the colourist throughout. We’ll handle the technical pipeline, ensure everything’s on spec, and guide the process from conform to final export — whether you’re grading remotely or in-studio.
What we actually do:
- Match each project with the most suitable colourist (style, tone, turnaround)
- Build grade briefs from visual references or creative input
- Handle full conform, XML/AAF prep, and shot relinking
- Deliver SDR, HDR, and broadcast-safe outputs (Rec.709, PQ, HLG)
- Support remote reviews, live sessions, or rendered previews
- Final delivery in ProRes, H.264, or custom formats, with look LUTs or baked-in grades
We work with a trusted roster of mixers across commercial, documentary, brand and broadcast work. Whether you’re delivering for Clearcast, need split stems for versioning, or just want the VO and music to breathe properly, we make sure your film sounds finished, not just exported.
Mixes can be built from scratch, picked up midstream, or delivered based on your offline. We work in stereo and 5.1, with full spec compliance and final exports that are ready to go.
What we actually do:
- Dialogue, VO and music balancing
- Mix builds from supplied stems or project timelines
- Split stems and M&E creation (for dubbing or localisation)
- EBU R128 loudness compliance and Clearcast-ready outputs
- Stereo and surround (5.1) support
- Remote or attended mix sessions, and real-time approvals
We handle voiceover and ADR end-to-end — from casting and session supervision to edit integration and final delivery. Whether you’re working with known talent or need us to find the right voice, we manage the process smoothly, remotely or in-studio.
We work with trusted VO artists, dialect coaches and ADR specialists, and can record, direct, and deliver clean takes, synced to picture and ready for mix. From pick-up lines and performance tweaks to full English dubbing, we’ve got the process covered — without adding friction to the timeline.
What we actually do:
- VO Casting – matching tone, age, accent, and style
- VO Recording – in-studio or remote sessions, clean takes with live direction
- Session Supervision – we can run the room or brief you in
- ADR / English Dubbing – pickup lines, performance fixes, full post-sync
- Subtitle-ready sync or editable takes for localisation
- Delivery as raw takes, edited selects, or pre-mixed files
We work with designers who understand rhythm and restraint, who know when to add weight and when to stay out of the way.
Whether you’re building a soundscape from scratch or want to enhance the pacing and transitions of a cut, we can create audio layers that support the story without pulling focus. Designed in parallel with the mix, or built in collaboration with your own team.
What we actually do:
- Bespoke atmospheres, textures and tonal beds
- Transitional sound design and pacing enhancements
- Emotive accents, stings and dynamic moments
- Brand and UI sound development
- Delivery as isolated design stems or integrated into final mix
- Matched to picture or built from creative brief
we prep all the final audio assets you’ll need — from platform-specific masters to split stems and M&E tracks. Whether you’re delivering to broadcast, digital, or international partners, we make sure everything’s named, labelled, and spec-compliant.
We’re experienced with commercial workflows, localisation-ready exports, and the weird file naming rules that come with most delivery specs. Just tell us where it’s going — we’ll handle the handoff.
What we actually do:
- Split stems: VO only, music only, SFX, full mix, and dialogue isolation
- M&E (music & effects) tracks for dubbing/localisation
- Loudness-compliant exports (EBU R128, ATSC A/85, etc.)
- Stereo and 5.1 delivery as required
- File naming, metadata, export logs, and audio QC
- Clean and explicit versions, if needed for broadcast

Documentary Editing & Longform
We’re well-versed in shaping complex, human-centred stories, especially when the subject matter isn’t straightforward. From financial and policy-focused docs to environmental films and personal narratives, we know how to cut with care, structure with purpose, and bring clarity without losing depth.
TVC Commercial Editing
We’ve delivered national and regional campaigns from agency rough cut to Clearcast-approved master. We know the expectations that come with TV work: tight turnarounds, supers, clock numbers, zero room for error. We’re used to working closely with creative teams to get everything versioned, signed off and delivered, cleanly and without friction.
Broadcast Editing
We deliver fully compliant broadcast content, ready for playout, archive, or international delivery. From clock numbers and slates to loudness specs, M&E stems, and file naming protocols, we make sure everything’s right the first time. We’re comfortable working to channel specs (BBC, Channel 4, ITV, etc.), liaising with in-house teams, and handling last-minute revisions without slipping on compliance.
Social Editing
We work with agencies and content teams to scale their social output, delivering fast-turnaround edits, cutdowns and creative variations that make an impact. We know what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to scroll-stopping content, and we build assets that hit hard across platforms.
Working With Us
We’re flexible in how we work, and we don’t have a rigid way of doing things. Some clients hand us a brief and disappear. Others want to collaborate daily. Some need a full-service edit pipeline. Others just want a freelancer who can jump in fast. We’re good with all of it.
We work with agencies, brands, production companies, NGOs and internal comms teams, and we’re always up for chatting through budgets, timelines, and figuring out the best way to plug in.
1. How We Work
Most of our clients work directly with us as a post studio, using our in-house and trusted freelance team. Our Drum award-winning team brings together senior and junior editors, colourists, sound designers and post supervisors that build a setup that fits the project, all managed through our internal team.
We use cloud upload systems for rushes, centralised project tracking, and remote-friendly workflows that make approvals and feedback simple. Whether you’re dropping off a drive or uploading footage from halfway around the world, we’ll get it into edit quickly and keep things moving.
2. Freelance Video Editors
Not every job needs a full post workflow, sometimes you just need a solid editor who can jump in, work fast, and get it right. We’ve got a deep bench of freelance editors we trust; people who’ve cut broadcast, branded, doc, and everything in between.
Whether you need someone remote, in-suite, or white-labelling under your agency banner, we can match you with the right creative (and manage the process, if needed).
- Access to our curated freelance editor roster
- Support for remote, hybrid, or in-house projects
- White-label options for agencies or production partners
- Optional project management, review workflows and delivery
- Flat day rates or scoped projects — whatever works best
3. White-Label Video Editing
Looking for a white label post-production service? We can act as your post team, fully white-labelled, fully integrated.
Whether you’re an agency looking to scale up output without dropping standards, or a production company that wants to focus on shoot and delivery, we can handle the edit invisibly under your brand. Every editor we assign works as if they’re part of your in-house team, matching tone, process, and communication style.
We’re used to handling simple overspill, but also building locked-in post setups that run long-term. You get access to our producers, workflows, edit systems and cloud delivery, all while keeping your brand front and centre.
4. Agency Partnerships
We work with agencies across TVCs, branded docs, social campaigns, and everything in between, either as an extension of your internal team or as a fully white-labelled partner.
We understand the pace and pressure that comes with client-facing delivery — from pitching and versioning to last-minute feedback and Clearcast approval. Whether it’s longform campaign work, reactive social edits, or asset atomisation and repurposing, we scale around your team and keep things moving cleanly in the background.

London Post-Production FAQs
Post-production comes in many shapes and sizes and understandably people often have a lot of questions before we kick of a project.
Here are some of the most common questions people ask before a project starts and a few questions we often pose to our clients before getting going.
A post-production studio takes your raw footage and turns it into a finished film — handling everything after the shoot wraps. That includes:
- Organising and reviewing rushes
- Editing footage into sequences
- Adding motion graphics, subtitles or branding
- Colour grading and sound design
- Versioning for multiple platforms
- Exporting files ready for delivery (broadcast, social, cinema, etc.)
At Here Now Films, we manage post from edit to final delivery, or we can just take on the parts you need help with. It’s fully scalable.
Yes — we strongly recommend locking your picture before starting the grade.
Grading takes time, and requires the colourist to go shot by shot (sometimes frame by frame) across your timeline. If you change the cut after the grade, much of that work may need to be redone — costing time and budget.
If you want a visual idea of how the film will look early, we can apply a reference LUT or do a “look pass” without grading scene-by-scene.
It varies depending on complexity, turnaround, and the colourist.
- Our studio rate: £1,000/day, including project setup and delivery
- Basic jobs: £700/day
- High-end work: £1,200–£2,000/day
Post-production pricing depends on the size, type and timeline of your project.
- Our rate: £750/day: That includes project setup, editing to brief, and delivery of a polished offline edit, ready for grading, sound or approval.
- Freelancers: £300–£500/day
- Boutique studios: £600–£1,000/day
That depends on:
- Length and complexity of the film
- Whether we’re working from a tight brief or shaping story from rushes
- How many review rounds are needed
Our average jobs take 3–10 days from ingest to delivery.
Longform or documentary projects can take longer depending on scope and review process.
Yes — documentary work is one of our core specialisms.
We’ve edited branded documentaries, longform investigative series, and environmental films — and our editors are used to working with complex, human-centred narratives, unscripted footage, multi-language dialogue, and reactive storylines.
Absolutely. We’ve delivered productions to major broadcasters like BBC World, and we understand the detailed delivery specs required for TV.
We handle:
- Export logs and platform-specific specs
- Clearcast delivery
- EBU R128 audio
- Slates, clock numbers, bars & tone
Yes — we work with a trusted roster of freelance colourists based in London and across the UK. These are people we’ve tested extensively on our own creative projects.
We match the colourist to the project based on tone, turnaround and visual brief, and can handle everything from conform to final export.
