Celebrating life’s big and small moments, this is Whistle Fish Galleries first ever TV Commercial.
From nostalgic seaside moments to everyday milestones, this is a film about how the right card makes the moment: a birthday that lands, a quiet “thank you,” a new set of keys, a simple “just because.” Honest, warm, and made in Cornwall, it brings Whistlefish’s design-led cards to life on screen.
Whistlefish asked us to create a TV Ad that felt aspirational yet relatable, rooted in the brand’s Cornish DNA, but made to resonate nationally. The brief was clear: authentic scenes, a gentle voiceover, product woven naturally into real life, and broadcast-ready delivery.
Our Role
We partnered from day one on creative, production and broadcast delivery. Our role spanned the full journey:
- Developed the narrative, voiceover and scene structure around “life’s big and small moments”
- Cast two professional leads and blended in real families for authenticity
- Shot in a single hero home and on the Cornish coast to maximise screen time and mood
- Handled edit, mix, and a naturalistic colour grade in-house
- Managed Clearcast compliance (scripts, supers, substantiation) and Peach delivery to broadcasters
- Supplied master and textless variants, with optional 20s/10s cutdowns for digital
The Challenge
This was Whistlefish’s first TV flight. We needed to deliver a polished broadcast film without losing the brand’s warmth — and do it on a tightly scoped schedule and budget.
That meant:
- Casting local experienced leads for nuance, real families for truth
- A lean, location-efficient plan (one home + nearby coastline) to keep the footprint light
- Early compliance thinking so Clearcast wasn’t a bottleneck (offers, on-screen text, legibility)
- A VO that guides, not shouts; product that appears naturally, not as a forced insert
We also tailored the creative to launch regionally (ITV West), with the craft and tone to scale nationally as Whistlefish expands.
The Result
The 30-second spot launched across ITV (West) with targeted Sky AdSmart support. Clearcast-approved and delivered via Peach, the film rolled out with texted and textless masters and digital cutdowns prepared for social.
It landed exactly where it needed to: heartfelt, distinctly Cornish, and clearly Whistlefish — “little pieces of art for those big on giving.”
